Paging Mr. Key, Mr. Cd key

well nedless to say i've never seen anythin like this before but.........
After installing a legal copy of Diablo 2 LoD i couldn't access battle.net and it gave me an error message that said my CD key was unauthorized to access battle.net.
Now just today i tried again and it says that if i'm using a odem i need to connect to the internet first. Well i dont use a modem, i connect through a network. Humm....i dont really understand how the error changed, or why but if anyone could help me fix it, i would appreciate it.

As for the second error message, for broadband and LAN users it obviously has nothing to do with a modem. The second one usually indicates a corrupt server list, and to find out what it really meant, look for a file named bnetlog.txt in your Diablo II directory and post its contents.

THe error is back to the original message which reads exactly:
"The application was installed using a CD key which is not authorized of Battle.net use"
as for bnetlog.txt (or whatever its called) it read:

Return the disc to the store, or email Blizzard. It's possible that that your CD key was randomly generated by a key generator hack, and that the person who used it abused it and was kicked off b.net.
