Slow-Motion 3d Games.

3d Games run slow.
Not jerky, in fact, i'm getting great framerates in everything i've tried, but half of the games i try will run in slow motion. Meaning that movement speed is slowed, NPCs and other moving models are slowed, etc.
I am 96% sure it has something to do with the motherboard. (Gigabyte GA-7DXE) As the motherboard and processor have just recently switched computers and thus everything else was changed, and the person before me had the same problem.

List of some affected games
Halo
Far Cry
Need for speed : Underground
Splinter Cell
Will Rock
Neverwinter Nights
The Adventure test in 3dmark 2000 (Possibly some more tests too, i can't remember)

Non affected
Track mania (Demo)
Warcraft III
Unreal II
Unreal Tournament 2004
C&C Renegade
Quake II
Star Wars : Knights of the old republic

The only other thing i've found on the matter is this, which is pretty useless, but it does support my motherboard theory.

So, anyone know of any way to remedy this, i've got the lastest drivers for everything that i can get them for. This does, however, exclude the motherboard, Gigabyte's site only has updated drivers for the inbuild audio.

System specs
AMD Athlon XP 1500mhz at 1800mhz
Gigabyte GA-7DXE Motherboard
512mb DDR Ram
Softmodded Radeon 9800SE

By the way, the .exe on the program in that pre-post FAQ seems to be broken, for me anyway.

Thanks a bundle for any help.
