Disconnection issues

I'm always getting disconnected every 45-60 minutes everytime I'm online or playing games online on my PS2. I tried to install firmware but I'm having trouble with that too. Said the password was invalid. I know I didn't change the default password for the router & if something did change it...how can I find out what the password is now. Can anyone help with this curse of mines?
