Graphic Card Question

I have a Radeon 9700 card and I'm playing a game for Windows 95 and my card wasn't around when the game came out.My question is that someone told me in order to the game pick a card that is close to yours.How do I know what card to pick and is there a site to let me know?

Umm... I highly doubt you'll have to get an older video card just to play that game.
If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, have you tried running the game in compatibility mode?
What game are you trying to play and what happens when you try to play it?

Another thing to try, is to reduce the Hardware Acceleration on your card in the display properties.

youre more likely to have sound issues than video ones. and mouse/keyboard for that matter.
if in doubt, switch your display driver to standard vga. that should be compatable.
