help diablo will not save?

my diablo 2 will not save
i click the save and exit and all it does is exit please help

Make sure that the "save" directory in your Diablo II directory isn't marked as read-only.

im saving on single player
were would i find the read only thing

If you're using Windows, go to your Diablo II installation directory (C:\Program Files\Diablo II) by default and look for the "save" directory. Right-click on it, click Properties and make sure that the box labeled "read-only" isn't checked.
