As long as EBay does not moderate what funny things are sold, I'm happy.
Posted by: SpecOpsHoov
They saddest part is that they refer themselves as hot. False advertising.

?? You meant "BBC"?
Posted by: Bix VT
Certainly not. The Better Business Bureau.
...Why would I call the BBC? http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom...headscratch.gif
Posted by: IceBreaker
Quote:
I don't know - maybe they'd be interested in an odd eBay story for their prime time? http://www.fintoys.net/yabb/yabbimages/smilies/grin.gif
Posted by: Bix VT
I'm certain the BBC has more important things to report than a couple of yank whores on ebay...

Jolly good read, that!
Posted by: Gunslinger
They really don't say that.
What they do say that's fun to emulate is 'Fancy'?
A translation would be 'want to' or 'like to'. That one can be fun.
Posted by: redwench
fancy a grilled brat gun?
Posted by: Gunslinger
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ssPageName=WDVW
Posted by: Bix VT
mmm...bratwurst...
I know they don't really say it, but that was the first thing I thought of that would be universally understood as British.

All and all, electric vehicles have a better 0 to 60 MPH acceleration time and way more power than standard vehicles.

I wonder what "standard" they use..
Matchbox? Hotwheels?
Posted by: laborat
He is right when he mentions we will have to find an alternative to gas and soon. I can see electric cars but only within a metro area. I am not convinced that electric semis are feasable. I guess it would take an all electric Indy 500 to convince me that this technology could replace the dinosaur oil
based gasoline powered engines.
Posted by: Bix VT
We could run 50% methanol in our cars right now with no internal mods. Plus, then it could make corn farming quite profitable.
Posted by: ianelarazure
Do any of you remember the possessed coke can for sale last year? Tried to find the link but to no avail. I think it sold for just over a hundred or something, not for sure.
Posted by: Maverick
wtf u talkin about?
Posted by: ianelarazure
Fall last year, someone was selling an empty Coke can, that the aluminum of the can was bent an awkward way or something unusual about it. And the seller posted that the can was "possessed". The can sold for a decent amount of money. Just sad.
Posted by: Maverick
i cant seem to figure out why people buy crap like that...

Lack of common sense.
Posted by: Bix VT
or excess money.
Posted by: RAcastClarke
Or a deadly combination of both.

i wonder if thats really for real..
Posted by: INeedHelp

Posted by: TheeMon

Posted by: Gerbilo

Posted by: TheeMon
why? so i can grow ghost canes?
id have to buy 50females and 50males then.... and some miracle grow...
but wait its winter manng, bad idea
Posted by: Bix VT
better idea than selling rocks...
Posted by: TheeMon
no its not, aquareium(major sp?) rocks are worthy.... im making driftwood as we speak
Posted by: redwench
um.........you dont make driftwood. you find it.
Posted by: Maverick
yea.. for real. how do you 'make' driftwood. I live on a 14 sq. mile island most of my life. please inform.
Posted by: Ocean
i have to ask, is a ghost cane an item in an online game? i didnt notice the game mentioned anywhere. but i saw the seller sold other game items.
with no pictures, i was just assuming it was an imaginary cane.
Posted by: redwench
its a reference to an initial silly/scam listing and various copycats of it. its a haunted cane. seller is satirizing them.
Posted by: Spork Lover
you can make Faux driftwood for a Aquarium which is probably what Thee is doing.... it's better for the fish and water, cause you don't know what may leech out of real driftwood.
Posted by: TheeMon
prolly what spork said, though i never heard the word faux...
well maybey its not...
i take the driftwood boil it, find slabs of slate(easy) boil them, sylicone them together(the rock so the wood will be held down)
then throw the peices in an old fish take w/ feeder fish... if the fish live the peices are good(witch the fish always live, its just a saftey precausion)
then u sell it...
easy
Posted by: TheeMon
actually no spork, i looked up faux driftwood and found this,
I've weathered wood to achieve the look of "driftwood." If this is what you're looking for, here's how I did it. First I soaked the wood in a bucket of water & bleach (ex. "Clorox"). After a few days of soaking in this solution, I removed the wood & brought it outside to be "sun bleached" (this works best in hot summer sun). By the time the wood was thoroughly dry, if I wasn't satisfied with the "faux driftwood" look achieved, I repeated the process (as many times as necessary). Hope this helps!
that would kill the fish... i just find the wood the make it usefull to aquariums
Posted by: taco_fox
faux
Posted by: TheeMon
yes, but when u look up faux driftwood they use chemicals and chemicals=teh bad in a fish tank
Posted by: Ion Silverbolt
Fish swim in their own shit everyday. You would think they could handle a little chlorine.
Posted by: Erekose
heh, care to give it a shot ion? little clorox in yer milk?
Posted by: redwench

gotta give 'em credit for creativity though... LOL
Posted by: oderus1671
something else worth mentioning... how do you find these things? i mean, dont you have to do a search for "hot pocket" or "satan" or something similar? kinda gives the impression that the "searcher" has too much time on their hands... LOL JK
Posted by: redwench
eh, people stumble up on them while conducting some fairly normal search, then link them on various sites and forums. given how long that damn description is, a good portion of keywords are probably in there.
Posted by: Hambones
I think it's hilarious myself.
Posted by: redwench
for a change of pace, a normal listing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ssPageName=WDVW

I would much rather buy a ghost cane that an orange with a tally wacker.
Posted by: redwench
citrus is healthier.
Posted by: Ion Silverbolt
Wow..Someone thought it was worth bidding 6$ on an orange/sex toy combo.
Posted by: Ion Silverbolt
Damn. I'm going to the rock quarry near here. Seems there isn't a short supply of retards who will pay a lot of money for weird shit.
Oh, and we already have an ebay thread.
