Overhaul

Ok, so I'm replacing several things in my comp. Specifically the motherboard, processor, ram and the case. Case, RAM, and proc. I've got covered, but I've been out of the loop for a while and subsequently lost what sketchy knowledge of motherboards I once had. So I need to be filled in on what I should look for in a motherboard, what I might expect to find in a good mobo and all that. What I do know is that I'm going with an AMD cpu, 6+ USB2 ports and maybe 2 firewire ports.

go with an nforce2 or 3 chipset, whichever one matches your cpu. id go with asus, but there are other manufacturers that dont completely screw up. the nforce chipsets come with decent quality built in sound and lan, so not a lot to look for. well, 4 ram slots if possible.
