Macs and PCs

I'm doing a research paper comparing Macs and PCs. I've searched the internet a bit but i just can't find an unbiased site that displays the pros and cons. Now i know you good people at OTS will be able to help me out and tell me what you know. Like I've heard that some software will not work on older macs because the assembler changes often. But since one company designs the hardware and software, the programs will be optimized.
What would really help is an actual site that contains these facts so i'd be able to cite it.
