Non Stop Restarting

Well my problem is that everytime i turn on my 2nd computer it always gets to the screen where you enter your name and password to log in and then restarts on its owns currently its running on windows 2000 what do i do?

does the power cut off or does it go through a shutdown process?
If it just kills, then it is most likely a hardware problem, if it shuts down then it is most likely a software one.

you might have sasser. aside from that, do a repair installation of the OS.

Yeah that sounds like a worm to me if not saser some other strain a repair of the OS may work but when it happened to me i did a complete reinstall worked for me then updated the windos and virus protection b4 i started surfing around again.
