CD ROM/ DVD ROM Detection Problem

My computer was working fine (or I thought so) until I have found that my computer wouldn't detect the Optical Drives. When I open up 'My Computer,' 'Storage with removable devices,' which is supposed to display A: D: & E:, only displays floppy drive A:. I was frustrated and rebooted the computer. When my computer boots, my motherboard won't detect my CD Rom and DVD Drive. It says "it can't be detected, press F4 to skip."
What should/can I do to make my computer to detect the drives?
Please help. Thank you very much.

if the bios is not detecting the drives, you have a hardware problem. put them on seperate cables if they arent already, and see if one of them shows up.

It was working fine yesterday. But somehow things got messed up today. I don't think it's a hardware problem. Any other solutions?

well, you can flash your bios if you really think its not a hardware problem.
