While trying to boot my computer, it says windows can not start because a file is missing or corrupt. Is there anyway i can reinstall windows? I tried putting the CD in the drive but nothing happens. Please help.

Yes all u have to do is go into ur bios by hitting delete b4 the boot screen and set the first boot device to the cd rom. you save an exit place the cd in the drive and restart. Then u just folow the instructions an install windows it wud be the same procedure u used the fisrt time.
I hope u know how to set the boot device an u r familliar with installing windows an the screen u wud see if not say so an we will give more details.

Im framiliar with the bios screen, but not sure about installing XP. Should I just follow the instructions?
P.S, how do I make it so it sets the boot device?

YEah all u got to do is follow the instructions like Press enter to install windos, press F8 to accept user licence,u will have to format the the partition that windows is installed on to remove all the contents of that partition an start fresh an install xp on that partion u will know the partiotion it will be the C:\windows .... partition.
And to get the boot device to change all u have to do is when u get into the section that alows the changing of the boot sequence an u select the right menu press the plus (+) key in the number pad to toggle through the diff sequences untill the cd rom is the first boot device save an exit.
Good luck if u had more that one partiong b4 u got probs chances are u wont have any important info on the c: drive so all ur files will still be safe after u reinstal.
Ps. select the same type of file system u had b4 or to match the other partions eg. FAT32, NTFS
