Install problems

Whenever I try to install a game or program on the pc it tells me that there isnt enough space to install it even though I have 107 gb free on the first drive and 115 on the second. It shows correctly everywhere on the pc but for some reason during installs it says there is no free space? If anyone can help would be most grateful :-D Thanks, Tess xx

shrink recycle bin to 1%
tell us size of page file
defrag
can you download additional stuff fine?

Posted by: bailey

Not being an idiot here but what is page size and how do I find it? I can download fine, I can install from a d/l but not from a cd it appears.

Right click my computer, click on properties. Go to advanced tab, click on settings under the performance section. Click on the advanced tab of the next window that pops up. Look down at the bottom and you will see "virtual memory". Click change and in the initial size window, set it to about 1 and a half times the size of your RAM. Example for 512MB RAM page file would be 768. Click set, then OK

Hi, I just checked it and it is already set at 768 - I just installed a new 512mb ram yesterday. Still cant install from cd.
