Yes, I've played Bad Dudes, in the arcade, musta been like 10 years ago.

I played Bad Dudes in the arcade at my prom..beat it in like..20 minutes, with about 20 bucks worth of quarters. Machine didn't work, so we played without any gamma on the screen. All you could see was a faint outline of the characters.
I'm bad.

And, I played it at the prom after hours, because it was the only machine in the 'arcade' that really worked well. Also, I HAD TO PLAY IT. IT WAS BAD DUDES. What are the odds of finding that machine at the prom?? It was a ton of fun. I love Bad Dudes.

Actually that screenshot is direct off my MAME cabinet. The text was changed in the NES release.

It was changed to awesomeness...and the speech..I can't get over "I'm bad!" on the NES. That was the greatest ever. I love it. Funniest stuff around.

Sorry, the correct dollar amount was 10 bucks...and I honestly don't know how long it took, but it wasn't tha tlong. Yeah. I Suck as Bad Dudes, hence the cash flow issue.

Hah, make a crappy game out of it where you punch ninjas that can somehow walk faster than a semi truck on the highway. (that's level 2, by the way)
Also, put in ridiculous speech that goes "I'm Bad!' in terrible NES speech. God, that game was good. I love the name too. So crude, yet it speaks volumes.

You also forgot that the first level boss was Karnov from another arcade/NES classic.

I didn't know that. Hah, I did know that when he tried to jump up to the top of the screen, you could kick him and he would fall back down without getting up. Just do that until he dies. Classic. Did that on the 2nd level boss too.

Dear god... Karnov. So not a classic  Worst ending in the history of video games!
Anyways... Bad Dudes. Yes. I remember when my brother came back from a videogame show (at a local hotel where people would buy and trade games) with it. We played it quite a bit. It wasnt till I got older that I realized the game was pretty crappy.
The train level was neat though

Bad Dudes is just another one of those repetative side scrolling button mashers. Just another in the line of Double Dragon or Final Fight type games. They are fun to play through now and then.
The ending in Karnova was a pretty crappy let down, especially for such a hard/frustrating game.
I played through Shinobi on my MAME cabinet one Saturday night a while back, holy hell was the arcade version hard. Spent about three hours and finally made it to the final stage. Only when you die on the final stage it doesn't allow you to continue. I was so pissed.
