X box memory loss

Wtf, im not sure what to do. I was playing chronicles of riddick today(awsome game by the way) then a few hours later i come back to play some more, and it tells me that my profile is damaged and must be deleted.
anyone else have this problem? this really sucks as now i have to start it from the start again. appreciate any feedback

I just bought it and I'll play through it tomorrow and see if I get anything like that. I would make sure it isn't your harddrive though and try out other games that have saves on the xbox HD to make sure they still work.

no i have plenty of other game saves working fine. It doesnt really matter much anymore i guess. I just passed where i was when it got deleted. Luckily this is such an excellent game, i didnt mind one bit doing it again.

If you turned off your console while saving, without realizing it, that could've damaged the savegame.

yea thats possible but the game saves incredibly quick, you dont actually have to save or anything it just autosaves while playing.
