Anyone with an Xbox have it? Playing coop on Live is a blast.
Although there have been mixed opinions on the game, it really comes down to the gamer's preference on the style of gameplay. If you like squad based strategies, you'll probably like FSW. Now, if you like the strategy, plus have the same unnatural addiction for anything military as I do, then you'll love the game.
In any case, if anyone here has it and wants to play coop on Live, my gamertag is SpecOpsHoov.
More info for anyone interested.

I played the game and have heard some things from various people who own it. It seems like a cool game, but almost more of a puzzle-like stragtegy game. First off i like stratagy games and i am a huge fan of military like games but there are several very unrealistic things about it. First off if your characters are behind cover and peeking out to take shots there is no way for them to get hit. Period. it will never happen. Also almost all of the enemy AI is prescripted. So no matter how many times you play it all of the enemies tatics and ambushes will be the same. And lastly there are a few annoyiances with some of the weapons. Such as the rifle grenades firing strait forward like a rocket, when in reality they arc down like a real grenade.
Other then these issues it is a very cool game, with alot of atmopsphere and style. I would recommend it for anyone who is a fan of strategy games, but beforewarned there are some unrealisitic things about it. Too bad there is no online vs.. that would have improved the longetivity 5x.

The guys in the same location every time are my only real gripe, and only half that, because there are multiple ways to take on the enemies.
The way I view it though, is that if the gamer had to worry about each individual guy (offline, that would be 8) getting hit when trying to hide behind some simple cover, we would all be screaming at the developers.
But it's a strategy game, not a run and gun sequence. Not aiming at you directly, but as posing a general situation/question, consider this. You're hiding behind a car looking at your map to devise a plan to flank the enemy. One of your men is barely protruding out from the car. You're looking at your map when all of a sudden the camera cuts to the guy falling to the ground dead. What would you do? If it were me, I'd curse the game, turn it off, and go find something better to do because more than likely, that would be the nth time that has happened.
IMHO, I truly think the squad based movement and action is done superbly, and while not perfect, could not have really been done in terms of individual soldier movement...without some heavy tweaking and extra button combinations.
Disagree if you will, but I guess that's why we all have an opinion.

Thats understandable, but what about when your soldiers are firing at the enemy from cover? I hardly think they should be invincible. There should always be the chance (however small it would be) that they can be killed or injured when fighting like that. Although you have to admit, if there was a enemy sniper that took shots at your guys whenever they even peeked their head out, it would be a hell of a challange on how to get rid of him> . of course i am kidding about the sniper.
IMO however i think the thing that hurts this game the most is lack of online (or even offline for that matter) vs mode. It would dramatically extend the life of the game, especially considering, like you said, all the enemies being in the same places in single player. Another thing that would have helped a lot is dynamic enemy AI. Maybe they use different tatics or take cover behind different things each time you play. While you are trying to outflank them, they are trying to do likewise.
However these are only some wishes and they shouldnt stop anyone from playing this game, becuase it is a fine game and i can only hope they will make another.

Agreed with the online/offline mode. It would be sweet if it had game types like that of Rainbow Six. Terrorist Hunt, Hostage/Soldier Rescue, etc.
I'm hoping that if they make a second one, they learn from their mistakes. The game has too much potential to lose.
