Ice Wind Dale 2 Help! No sound

Ok, heres the deal I got a new sound card in april, but I didn't touch IWD2 for awhile after I installed it. Prior to the card I'd just been using onboard sound. I switch because it would lag when playing Warcraft3.
I'd never had any trouble with it before until now. Things I've tried are; unistall-reinstall the game, run directx 8.0/9.0b (tried newest version and oldest recommended for the game) look in vain for any info of people with similar problems.
System info is:
XP Pro (32bit)
AMD XP2100 (1.2ghz)
512ram
Geforce TI4600
Creative SB Audigy SB0160
(driver version 5.12.5.441)
Any help would be much appreciated!

I've also got an Audigy, the 5.12.5.441 drivers and IWD2, and my sound is fine. I didn't have to do anything special to get the sound to work. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling those drivers?

I haven't done that yet, I guess I should give that a try too.

Make sure there is no conflict with your onboard sound. And make sure its inserted into the pci slot correctly, other than that i dunno what to say.
