Win 2K Upgrade

Now I using os win ME and consider upgardes to win 2k pro. So how okay the requirement of my pc for uprgades. The spec's as below:
a. motherboard msi 6368 ver 5
b. cpu intel celeron @ 600 Mhz
c. RAM 256

If okay i want upgrade because the ME had a lot of problem. Thanks for give some input.

Your system meets the system requirements for Windows 2000 Pro.

Make sure, however, that the rest of your hardware have their appropriate Win2K drivers... make a list of all the hardware on your computer, and download all the latest Win2K drivers for them, burn it onto a disk or copy onto a floppy, and then do your upgrade.

definately acceptable. go for it. 100% absolutely. will run great

install with ntfs file system on windows partition. set up a storage (large) partition for music movies etc.

10gig for windows. 20 gig for windows and games if you game. the rest - make a secondary partiton for storage.

back up what you need.

I would make the PC dual bootable, and use the Win 2000 as the main OS and the WinME as rescue OS, well if I can again reccomend Knoppix as good rescue OS.
Well jus a thought.
