How do you make a computer into a gateway? (ex connect another computer to the internet through the one im going to make gateway)

I presume you want to use LAN.

In LAN system use cross wired RJ-45 cable and choose one of then as master and the rest as clients.

Master PC
1) Make sure that Internet connection works OK
2) Install Internet Sharing.
3) Instal LAN card and the driver software.
4) The properties of the TCP/IP of the LAN card (Ethernet)
IP Address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
WINS: Disabled
Gateway: Empty
DNS: Disabled
Bindings: Both selected

Make sure that on the Dial Up dialog also the Internet sharing is active.
The Internet connection is set via Modem.

The client(1)
1) Install Internet Sharing.
2) Install LAN card and the driver software.
3) The propertries of the TCP/IP of the LAN card (Ethernet)
IP Address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1
DNS (ISP): As provided by the ISP

N.B. 1) Firewall can cause problems, especially when sharing folder and playing games.
2) On the Client the internet Dial up is via LAN.
3) The Master has to be connected to the Internet before client has access to Internet.
4) Start/settings/control panel/network connection/configuration
5) Internet Sharing: start/settings/control panel/add and remove programs/Windows-
Setup/Internet Tools/Details/Internet Connection Sharing
6) MS Office settings via tools/services/add/Internet email

Hope this gave some idea or not.
