Game freezes when I start it

Ok, I just got a new video card. It's a nvidia FX5200. I downloaded the lastest driver version 56.72 When I try to start games like Warcraft 3 or Halo they freeze at startup. I started America's Army and played it for a while, but it froze when I tried to exit the game. Whats wrong? How can I fix it??
Processor: AMD Athlon 2000+
Memory: 20 gigs
Video Card: nvidia FX5200
Sound Card: Built in to system
Operating System: Windows 2k

maybe u have 2 many files stored on your computer or too many programs running at the same time ...

I tried closing everything in the background except the core files. It did not work. And everything worked fine before I got the lastest driver.

UPDATE: I did the video test from Blizzard. I did everything as normal, the dialog box came up saying I was going to be shown a foot soldier for 5 seconds and a dialog box will come up after that and ask it if was successful. When I clicked ok to start the test my computer freezed like it does when trying to start the games. I think it freezes when any graphics are going to be displayed.
UPDATE: I have determined the problem is with direct draw and direct 3d but only in FULLSCREEN. When i load something up not in full screen it works fine.

take the card back. definately.
5200 are seriously crappy with stability. they are for uninformed people who just want dx9. even though its dx9 abilities are unusable. and its AA and aniso are sucky also. anyone who tells you otherwise is a fool.
give us a price range and we will help you decide on a better card.
