AOL Live Technical Support

Are the 'people' that answer your questions on the AOL Live Technical Support actually people or are they bots? All their responses are just canned replies so they are either bots or they have some sort of macro button library for every statement they make. I asked one if they were a bot and they said they were real, only they said it just like a bot would. Is that service maybe outsourced to somewhere where English is not high on the priority of applicants to that job? Or maybe it's against company policy to sound like a human when they reply.

i know, i hate aol, my parents wont switch though, ive had countless problems with their software, and my tech support call guy couldnt fix anything so he gave me some guy who tried to sell me a phone. DO NOT GET AOL!!!

Same wit dell, a buddy of mine worked on the french half of there canadian support b4 it was all outsourced to india. They have a series of binders to refrence the problem to, and if they deviate from those, the company can dicipline.

To be honest, AOL's not that bad. I got v9.0 for my DELL desktop. I just wouldn't think of puttin it on Win2K, which I got on my laptop.

I recomend getting comcast i've had no trouble with them, it's fast and the most problems you would really have is the connection. But the best part I like about it is that it doesn't interfere with your phone line.
