Two articles here and here report on a new law passed in South Carolina that places Information Technology Professionals in the same hat with Health Care, Social Workers and Day Care Professionals.

The new law requires IT personnel to report suspected child pornography on someone's computer. The law states that "computer technicians who view such images when working on a computer" must report the user to law enforcement. Failure to report is a criminal offense.

All computer personnel must take their Social Worker's Course again.

bah im not in the field of law enforcement anymore. if the federal government does not see fit to prosecuting Ted Kennedy for homicide either vountary or involuntary and hands out a slap on the wrist to representavie democrat barney frank accused of running a child prostitution ring and having sex with underage boys. i think the whole thing is BS plain and simple. the govt needs to clean house before it asks me to do it...
