PC.IGN has some specs and info about Creative's latest release into the sound card market. The new Creative Audigy sound card boasts some new and impressive features including their first update to their sound processor since the SoundBlaster Live. Also of worthy note is the built-in Firewire port touted at SB-1394 which is supposed to support a number of firewire components as well as offer a high-speed LAN connection.
Several versions are expected to be released with varying software and hardware in the case of the external model.

I'll probably get this card just for the improved digital playback. The Firewire port on it also impresses me. I just hope it supports a wide range of firewire products without any hiccups.
