my playstation 2 has been acting weird for the past 2 months or so. when i play it for the first time it shows full color and everything and after a while of playing and sometimes when i accidentally turn it off, when i turn it on again the screen becomse black and white. i dont' know why it does that i have not dropped my playstation 2 or anything like that and i have had it for almost two years has anyone have had this problem before? any help would be appreciated thanks.

What kind of TV do you have? I havent heard of this before, but its possible that its a problem with the TV. The video cables also could be the problem. Try it on another TV and see if it still does it.

might just be some loose cables ... check the back of your TV and your PS2 and make sure the cables are firm and secure...

the cables are secure and its definitely not the tv because i changed tv's twice already. as for the cable connection i run it through an rf converter that uses an adaptor to plug into my tv. so i use the multi out wire that goes into the rf converter and the converter to my tv. i checked the converter too it works fine with my ps one no problems only with ps2 this happens.

Its the cords running from the PS2. I had this problem before and I tried the cords on my PS, and sure enough it would be black & white. Just get some new cords, their cheap enough, but I'd try the cords on another PS2 of a friend's or somethin', just to be sure.
