Need some more reasons to stay away from wireless networking now? Check this out:
A hacking tool which can recover the encryption keys used to "protect" data sent over wireless networks has been released on the Internet.
AirSnort is one of the first tools that automates the process of breaking in wireless networks and takes advantages of flaws in the Wired Equivalent Protocol (WEP) which were highlighted by a group of cryptographers a couple of weeks ago.
On the other hand, though, tools are also available to hack into other services. Read more at The Register here.

Ok heres the solution.
Increase the crypto so that it uses most of the bandwidth.
So what if its now speeds of 300baud.
No one will want to hack at that speed anyway!

Gee. Big Surprise. Somebody figured it out.
30 years ago, when I was playing security games, it was understood that really heavy secrets, like codes, had about a 3 month lifespan if someone really wanted to find it out.
Given the horsepower available today, I am surprized it took it as long as it did. How long do you think it took the kids at the Puzzle Palace?
The only way to keep a secret is not to tell anybody.
