Problems with ps2 microphone(plz help)

Hey guys im new and i really need help with my headphones. i can talk and everything but i cant hear when any body talks and its really starting to make me mad. and the worst part of it is they arent even my headphones. i dont know wut i did to them i thought if i didnt use them for a while they would work but apparently they didnt. so plz can sumbody help me?
