Intel Supports Linux for the P4 and Itanium

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Intel is planning to release a set of C++ and Fortran compilers for Linux programmers tomorrow. The tools are designed to better support Linux programs on Intel's Pentium 4 and Itanium.

The compilers won't be cheap, though...:

Each Linux compiler is expected to be released in September as a $399 download or $499 CD on sale at Intel's software site.

hahaha... what a great way to NOT sell any.

No one in linux will pay for an intel compiler, not when GCC is wrtten by some of the best guys in the biz.

Not to mention that few people who use linux are willing to pay for anything to begin with.
