computer freezes

Hi,
I have a problem with my computer. Everytime I turn it on windows xp loads all the way, I even get to log in. Then everything goes wrong. At some point when everything has loaded my computer freezes, then I get a blue screen telling me that there was a problem in my system. Then the system proceeds to do a memory dump and it reboots, when it comes back up, I get a message that the culprit was the nv4 file, something to do with nvidia. Now I am not computer literate and I am not sure whether it is the driver or the board that is causing this problem. I am running windows xp professional on a an HP. If anyone has run accross this problem, can you please help me?
Thanks

It sounds more like a driver installation problem. Try booting into safe mode (press F8 right after the system POST screen), removing the drivers through Add/Remove Programs, and then running the installer again.

Welll ...
I might suggest you to try booting in Safe Mode (Press F8 while the computer is starting up) ..
If it doesnt freezes there .. then its possible some new software or driver you added ...
Try it then post back ... .
And by the way ..Did you tried reinstalling NVidia Drivers ..?
