Windows Desktop Folder Change

Is it possible to change the location of the desktop folder to a folder on another partition(not containing windows) in XP. So instead of windows displaying all the files in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\User\Desktop" on the desktop, it would display all the files in "D:\" onthe desktop.
