saved properties reset??

Well recently I changed the image of the trash can but each time the comp gets restarted the trash can returns to its original icon how do i fix this?

Control Panel->Display->Desktop Tab->Customize Desktop Button->Select Icon->Change Icon Key->Browse->Change Icon.

yea i did that but im saying that it keeps on resetting itself each time i restart my computer

Try this...
How to change the icons of My PC, My Documents, Network and Trash:
Click the right button in any place of the desktop and choose "Properties".
In "Effects" choose the icon you want to change and click on "Change icon".
Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".
