Tales of Symphonia

Everyone with a GameCube must purchase this game post haste!

This game absolutely rocks. I'd think it was another Secret of Mana spin-off if it were SquareEnix and not Namco. But the story is pretty cool, the combat is fun as shit.
Anyone else played it or bought it yet?

I've been following it and had planned to purchase it for a while. I didn't realize that it was out. I will be picking it up post-haste.

Is it real-time combat, or turn-based?

Actually, if it's SOM-like, then it's gotta be real time...

It may be a good RPG for the Cube, but does it beat Phantasy Star Online??

I picked it up. It's okay, but so far it isn't grabbing me at about 4 hours in. I think the stereotypical and unoriginal storyline is turning me off. Combat system is pretty cool though.

I have a friend who bought it, says it's not bad.

He also recommended a game called Drakkengard (sp?) for PS2...Is it a good game??

Posted by: Gunslinger

I'm gonna pick it up next week. May not be the greatest, but I need a new game to play.

20 hours in. Best RPG I've played in a long time.

14 hours in myself, I'm loving it. I picked it up last thursday and extremely glad I did. As for drakengard, I'm not sure about how good it is, but it's made by square-enix.
