Graphics Driver

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I am only semi-computer literate and am trying to install an ATI 32mb Radeon 7000 Graphics card on a Compaq desktop Presario with Windows ME as the o.p. The documentation on the card states that I should remove the driver for the existing Graphics Card by going to Start, Settings, Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs. The problem is that when I do that, the list that comes up of programs that can be removed does not include a graphics driver. How can I find out what graphics card is in the computer and where is the driver?

Thanks much, Allen

their directions are retarded.

right click on my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, (video adapter) right click on that and select uninstall or whichever options you chose to execute. then turn off the pc and remove old vid card, plug the new card in. plug monitor into new card. then turn off onboard video in your bios if you didnt have a card. install new drivers, reboot, done
