I just baught the creative inspire t7700 7.1 channel speaker set. (its being shipped) And i want to know if i need a card to use it, i saw that there were many ports on the subwoofer that go to the satellites, will those take care of it? I know it will sound better with a sound card, and i WILL get one eventually, but for now, do i absolutely need it?

D00D i've got onboard 6 channel sound, you dont always *need* a soundcard.... You just need something that will take full advantage of whatever stereo setup you have.....

Yeah. Agreed,

Sometimes onboard sound can be really good. My brother just had a setup where the onboard sound was 6.1 channels, with digital outputs. To be honest, you don't NEED a soundcard, unless your onboard sound is really lousy. But it;s not like you won't have sound otherwise. If you are investing a decent amount of money into some speakers, get a decent sound card so you can take full advantage of said speakers. (I know--you have the card, it's just general advice)
