Hey,

I know you see a thousand of these post. But I am unable to host and have some join. I have Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router 802.11b,and I dont know how to disable the windows xp firewall but I am good with computers and just need directions.

go to control panel/network connection. Select the advanced tab and uncheck the firewall box.
You may also have to open ports 6112 and 6113 in your router if you are using one.

Yep, make sure your firewall is disabled.

1. Start W3.
2. Options
3. Select Gameplay.
4. Input the port number (default 6112, Bnet also supports ports 6113-6119)

So exactly what ports need to be open in order to host

We actually have a step by step guide on how to disable the Windows XP firewall here.

You only need to open the port that you have set in Warcraft 3's options. If you haven't changed it, it should be 6112. Of course you can always check if you're not sure.
