GTA: Vice City Problems

I have just installed vice city on my pc. I started playing it and everything was good but the second time I opened it up to play again it would not open, the egg timer comes up for about 5 seconds an then nothing happens.
Here is what I have in my PC.
Windows 2000 Pro
512MB RAM
8.32GB free hard drive space
2.4GHZ Intel Inside Celeron
52x CD Drive
DX 9
64MB GeForce FX 5200

Looks like you meet the minimum requirements.
GeForce FX 5200, compared to similar priced vid cards, this one has poor performance at best.
Suggestions...
1. Download the latest drivers for your FX 5200.
2. Adjust screen resolution/colors to a different setting. (i.e. 640x480, 16 bit color.)
3. Try tweaking the game settings (Set the draw distance to the lowest)
Other suggestion...
4. Clean up your hd.
Your kinda low on free space remaining.
Run disc defragmenter...
Goto Run
type cmd.exe
type defrag X: (where X: is the specified drive)
Run Chkdisk...
Goto Run
type cmd.exe
type chkdsk.exe/f

Try uninstalling and reinstalling? If it worked once, it has to work again.
There is also a patch, but it doesn't seem to fix anything in your situation. Patch Here

Yea I have tried reinstaling it many times, just tried agian for about the 5th and still not working, patch did not work. But thanks anyway
