I have recently got this computer and have finally installed Diablo 2 and LOD. I went on to the Battle.net button and started to download the patch. On 99% complete, D2 said "connection lost( or something) and suddenly just quit, with no other error message. I tried again but all i get is the patch download screen for like half a second and then D2 quits again.
I used to have such fun online, can anyone help me please?

Backup Charector files in the save folder
Uninstall/Rienstall D2 + apply patch 1.10.
