How to find voltage of vid card

Is there a way to find the voltage of a video card? A friend of mine had another friend of his build a new system for him recently and he wanted to use his old video card, a TNT2 AGP with it. The motherboard only accepts 1.5v cards, not 3.3v and the TNT2 doesnt work. How do you find out what the voltage on a card is? Hes probably gonna end up buying a GeForce4 MX.

you can tell by the slot (or key) (or lack of connectors) on the connector pin thingies.
he needs a card that has 21 pins from the inside edge of the card (not the mounting barcket side) to a gap.
you know how most cards have 2 slots in the connectors (edit: like 9800 pro, 6800, new high end cards ), those are called keys. the first slot indicates its 3.3v compatible. the second slot indicates it is 1.5v compatable. both slots means its a universal apg card. he needs a card that has a gap or absence of pins where the familiar second slot is.
and agp pro is another issue altogether that shouldnt come into play.
its odd that a 3.3v only graphics card would even fit into a mobo slot with a 1.5v key.

aha, i found out why. these cards have incorrect keys
- some nVidia Riva TNT2 cards
- all nVidia Vanta, Vanta LT cards
- all SiS 6326, SiS 305 cards
- all S3 Savage4 cards up to, but not including revision 3.0
- all 3dfx AGP Voodoo 3, 4, and 5 boards (officially non-AGP 4x anyway)
- some nVidia GeForce2 GTS/Pro.

he has an exceptional card. and a normal motherboard that would accept most cards fine.

Well he lives 3 hours away so I wasnt there to look at it myself. I may just have him bring it here so he doesnt 'f it up.
Im thinking its AGP pro though, as I believe its an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo. Thats not gonna cause a problem, is it? Ive only dealt with the regular one.

his mobo doesnt support 3.3v agp. which is what that card needs. he has one of the rare 1.5v incorrectly-keyed tnt2 cards by riva.
any 1.5v card will work in that mobo.
if he wants to buy a card, you can just find out the card an look at the connectors to determine if it will work. 99% of whats in the store now should work fine.

Theres a GeForce4 MX4000 on sale this week at Bestbuy so Ill just have him get that. That will work in an AGP Pro slot wont it?

the pro slots will function as a normal agp 3.0 slot. in the a7n8x mobos. and those cards are universal. will work in a 3.3v mobo and a 1.5 mobo

What exactly is AGP Pro anyways? I havent dealt with it before. I did build a couple of systems with the Deluxe before, but didnt really notice it.

This is the card:

He doesnt play games, just needs it for general stuff. $49 is enough to spend on it.

agp pro, gets extra power from the mobo for extra cooling, and i think it uses extra bandwidth from 2 or 3 pci slots for additional throughput to other devices. its for professional rendering type stuff.
