SV266A BIOS/Booting Problem

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi.

I currently have a SV266A mobo running one of my systems but cannot get it to boot.
When I starts, it hangs on "Building DMI....Success"
The system will not boot from the floppy or cd drives either.

I can get it past here if I go turn off "Hang on all errors" in setup.

When I do this I can boot into safe mode wothout cd or mouse support.

I feel that my BIOS is meesed up but cannot locate an update that will work.

Any advice???

Thanks.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS? Usually there is a jumper on the motherboard that will do this. If not, uplug power from the system and take out the little watch battery on the mobo - you may need to wait up to a day for all power to dissipate through the system. Plug it all back in and put the battery back and try booting again.

Will try. Will this completely reset the bios?

Thanks.
