Problems during a Warcraft III game

im having two kinds of problems during a warcraft 3 game on b.net. The first one is warcraft 3 minimizes and it says there is a windows system error and i have to restart. The second one is the screen just freezes and i also have to restart. These 2 things only happen during a game.
Im also getting a lot of popups without opening a web browser that my popup blocker doesnt block.
My computer is a dell dimension 4600 and i have norton mcaffee and ad-aware and i ran both but neither seem to help.

I also have a SMC7004VBR router if this makes a difference, with cable internet.
