Screen flickering, Freeze

Hi
Have recently experienced my screen flickering and sometimes freeze. This usually happens when im scrolling the window. Also freezes during gaming.
I run XP pro with a ti4200 64 Mb creative graphics card with the newest driver from creativ. I belive it may be the driver that's the problem but can't seem to find a good working driver... May it be that the graphics card is the problem??
Please help.. This is starting to get really frustrating!
Also formatted my entire drive and installed all from scratch.. Also updated my BIOS...

first of all, who makes the video graphics card that you have? I have a feeling that its the graphics card thats causing the problem. buy an ati graphics card or hauppauge. those 2 companies make great graphics cards.

sorry, i didnt see that you said it was made by vreative. hmm... they make ok graphics cards. But try getting another graphics card. i prefer ati radeon.

I installed my old gf2 mx400 card and it seems to work fine..
The ti4200 card worked fine untill i installed the graphics driver.... with unassigned drivers it worked fine, though at a 800x600 resolution..
seems i need a new one.
Any sugestions when money is an issue??? 100-150 bucks..
