Sound Problems in Halo for PC

First off I would like to say that i have the most recent update. I have a Sound Blaster Live 5.1. What happens is when playing online and offline the sound cuts out and would studder or become incomplete. If you know what is wrong and can help me please post. Thanks!

install the lastest drivers for the sound blaster live card. i have the game too, it rocks.
