Random freeze/display shut off

I just installed a GeForce4 Ti card into my:
ASUS A7V333X mobo
250 W power supply
..
Suddenly the thing keeps freezing and the monitor randomly shuts off; I have to shut off completely and reboot. I am thinking it's the 250 W power supply not being able to power everything...any other suggestions?

that would be one possibility. did you remove the old drivers and install new ones?

In fact I just removed the newest nVidia drivers and installed the old ones from the CD that came with the card...
Seems to be working for now.
