[I havent purchased the computer yet]...........i could always buy doom for xbox, but it wouldnt be the same...... will it do i have to upgrade my video card, or is it decent enough?

pci express card might be needed which will be pricey

Yep. Go with the GeForce 6800. Though currently its around $400-$500, you may be able to get it cheaper on Ebay.

what if i dont get it, how will they perform?

They wont perform at all. You have integrated intel graphics. It doesnt do much more than display the windows GUI and simple web animations. Its pretty much bottom of the line.

Just found this today the Doom 3 hardware guide, PCI-E is not needed nor is a geforce 6800. http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQ0 Your integrated graphics still won't run it however, but consider a 9800.
