BattleField 1942..

has anyone ever experiences this while playing battlefield 1942? everythings fine when you start the game, but then at points everything turns black and grey, and the terrain goes kinda 3d. its IMPOSSIBLE to play while this hapens, and i have NO idea whats wrong. it keeps happening for about a week now and it wont stop... single player, online, everywhere. please someone give a suggestion =/ i cant stand it anymore

so far ive reinstalled and got the patch at http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/1942/us/
but its still happening.. maybe i got the wrong patch?
does anyone have any more suggestions..

Corruption with graphics somewhere. I'd probably uninstall, then reinstall and get all the patching up to date with the biggest and latest patch (Sometimes over the course of like 2 years using all the this version to this version to this version can corrupt things so just get the biggest and latest patch you can find). Also make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Go to either Nvidia's or ATI's websites and get the latest.
