comp shutting off

every time i play diablo 2 or warcraft 3 or any pc game my computer shuts off on me when im bout 10 or so minutes into the game what is the reason for this

I assume it just kills with no warnings. I'd check the heating. A lot of times when playing intensive games and one of your fans is dead or the heating gets bad it'll just kill your computer and shut it down or restart it. Make sure all your fans are working (including the one on your graphics card if there is one) and if they are working, make sure your computer still isn't burning up.

hmmm i dont think its the normal fan cuse that sounds like its runnin wright and as for my graphics card it might be that is there anyway of fixing it without goingand buying a new fan or graphics card?

I just assumed it was heat because it usually is. Does your machine feel extremely hot if you touch the case or back by your powersupply and fan? Actually, I found an easy way to test to see if it heating issue, because my powersupply fan died on me like 6 months ago (I wouldn't count on this as being a permanent fix because always having the case open is suppose to be bad). Open up your case (just 1 side) and plug in a regular house fan and have that at full blast blowing into your case to keep it really cool. Then boot up Diablo 2 or Warcraft III and see if you can play them longer than 10 minutes.
