...of George W.

Yes, I know that it is easy to take things out of context to make people sound like idiots, and I know that transcriptions of normal conversations look bizarre.. but some of these are unexplainable.

"It's important for us to explain to our nation that life is important. It's not only life of babies, but it's life of children living in, you know, the dark dungeons of the Internet."—Arlington Heights, Ill., Oct. 24, 2000

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."—Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000

"It would be helpful if we opened up ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge) [for oil drilling operations]. I think it's a mistake not to. And I would urge you all to travel up there and take a look at it, and you can make the determination as to how beautiful that country is."—Press conference, Washington, D.C., March 29, 2001

"Natural gas is hemispheric. I like to call it hemispheric in nature because it is a product that we can find in our neighborhoods."—Austin, Texas, Dec. 20, 2000

This is very very similar to the book that was released in the Philippines that outlined the "wit and wisdom" of the former president Joseph "Erap" Estrada. The book was entitled Erap-tions and it was one of the most stupid and funniest books I ever read.

There is even a follow-up to it, called Erap-Speak .. here are some excerpts: http://www.yimby.com/v2n03/witnhumor.htm

There is always someone who is more stupid

someone hand the man a dictionary. with the page open to "hemisphere", because i doubt he could find it on his own.

I still think Dan Quayle takes the cake. His political antics and words are legendary world wide.
