NVidia Announces New TV/DVD Card

NVidia to Offer TV, DVD, Recorder Card for PCs
The card, expected in the fall, will provide all of the functions of a digital video recorder (DVR), including the ability to pause live TV, fast-forward through commercials and schedule recordings.
NVidia's device, to be called NVidia Personal Cinema, will make use of a traditional universal remote control to operate it, in addition to on-screen controls.
The main benefit of the NVidia setup over competing ones, according to Hui Nguyen, NVidia product manager for video products, is that it will have all of its ports on the front of the computer rather than the back, making it easier to connect video and other devices.
