slow as internet need help plz

hello my friend has a 500mhz pc with 64mb ram and dial up internet but it is running sooooooooo slow and was wondering if there was nething they could do i tried disk cleanup and nothing the connection is so slow its not worth paying 5 bucks for if there was more ram installed would it help coz the pc run very slow by itself neway

how about:
a) get a faster pc
and then
b) get a faster connection

its the ram, not much else to be done as long as its at 64mb.
