DVD copy protection crashes?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: uh...ok

So I got Fight Club from Best Buy last night, and here I was all ready to watch it with my friend ... pop it in my drive and hope Divx Player plays DVDs... it doesn't really.

Try Windows Media Player and I get some copy protection error. Then it proceeds to crash on me.

Alright, sorry friend, wait while I install PowerDVD - crap where did I put the license key that came with my laptop... oh there it is. Run PowerDVD, pop the disc in, and PowerDVD crashes.

Finally I resort to just playing the DVD on my PS2 (thank God it works there after fiddling with the parental controls) and it works just fine.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to play this DVD on my computer?
