Oddball designed chairs!!!

I don't know what it does! It's annoying the hell out of me! It's like that damned Diablo II gem! What's that screw on the back of the chair "really" do?!?!? Hehe It's gotten me into an uproar, (Tighten, Loosen) What do you do?! Geeze, how annoying can these little things actually be?

Take a look here at "adjust back height". The knob on the back of the chair is supposed to adjust your back up or down. Unscrew it and push/pull your back to the desired height. Now this supposes that you have a good quality office chair. If not, then it could be there for looks.
