Power on problem in HP Laptop

I have recently purchased a HP Pavilion ze5600 laptop. It was working fine for a few days but suddenly one day when I tried to put it on, it just wouldn't start. The power LED just keeps flickering and nothing comes on, its dead. I tried to reset it but still dead. Also tried to charge the laptop for 4 hours, still dead. Removed the battery and re-inserted and tried , still no response. I don't know what else to do. Can any one help me here. Thanx in advance.

If you just purchased it recently, I would recommend calling up HP tech support (take advantage of the warranty, if it has one) and see if they have any ideas what may be causing it, as it may be some defect on the machine. Nevertheless, stay tuned for more suggestions, and good luck.

I have the same kind of a problem also with pavilion ze5600. When i start it i usually see hp logo, but sometimes about ten vertical white lines appear on the screen with the logo, and the machine hangs. If i'm lucky windows xp starts normally, but even then the system might suddenly crash. Then i'd see a blue screen with some text for a second and then machine shuts down.

If i adjust the angle of the screen by pushing it those lines might disappear or appear again, while trying to boot. Nowadays i dont even see the logo, just a black screen.
